Smiling at Death is a documentary inspired by Alberta’s experience of being with her ex-husband, David Evans, in his last weeks and witnessing his final moments.

She filmed  people telling about  their profound experience while being with a person just before or when they passed over.

Their stories are remarkable testimonies of inspiration and hope.

Photos of some of the people who share their story.

Many were surprised to see a glowing smile of bliss

on the face of the person just before they died.
